For full WhatsApp notification support you will have to be working on Android phone.
By enabling all the notifications you will be able to reply to your WhatsApp messages right from your smartwatch using the Wear OS dictation feature or wrist based keyboard.
In iOS/iPhone you won't be able to reply for the message that you get but you can see the notifications or the message on your watch screen.
