All the network giant company in India announces the launch of 5G network this year in the country, what they are waiting for is Government announcement for the auctions of the 5G spectrum. Meanwhile this year the every second smartphone launching is supported by 5G network.

“Realme aims to be the 5G popularizer in India, in Europe and other global markets,” CEO Madhav Sheth told The Indian Express. For the Indian market specifically, half of the new models unveiled in 2021 will be 5G-enabled.

Till now and in future too every Realme smartphone which costs more than Rs 20,000/- will be 5G supported. The recent smartphone launched by Realme like Realme X7 series which has a starting price of Rs 20,000/- also supports 5G network.

Airtel is the first company who tested the 5G network last month in Hyderabad and after that testing the company CTO said that the phones in range Rs 10-15K needs to be ready to support the next generation network. Airtel expected to launch the network next year.

“With everything moving online – work, education, payments – the dependency of consumers on technology has increased,” says Sheth. “Consumers nowadays are more inclined towards adopting a connected and tech-empowered lifestyle and 5G is bound to play a pivotal role in building this lifestyle for them.”
