 As we all know, Twitter has paused its Blue Tick verification Since November, 2017. But as per the latest News Twitter is to Reopen the verification of the Blue badge on 22 January 2021. But, this time in a different way.

"Authentic, notable and active" these are the three defining terms for a Twitter account to get that precious Blue badge on Twitter.

Twitter has stopped this verification on 16 November 2017 stating that the Blue badge has created a perception problem for them. Twitter also wrote that "The perception  became the worst when  we opened up verification for public submissions and verified people who we in no way endorse."

Twitter will use “both automated and human review” to handle these applications for verifications.

According to the official statement : Twitter will begin automatically removing the verified badge from inactive and incomplete accounts.

In order to Qualify the verification the user must have to logged into the account in the last 6 months showing an active participation. Also, the  user must have its profile name, a display pic and must confirmed with a permanent email Id or a phone number.

Twitter will also check their post in these days and their engagements.

And finally, "The account should not  had a 12-hour or 7-day lockout for violating the Twitter Rules in the past six months."

Can ordinary people get verified?

As per the Twitter conditions the account must be notable to get verified. So, for a ordinary people it will be difficult to get that precious Blue badge untill unless a mass no. of people started following him. Also, Twitter mentioned that the Parody, newsfeed, commentary and fan accounts are not eligible for the blue badge.
